Little City Navigators empowers children to confidently explore and navigate their urban environments using public transportation. We believe that fostering independence and environmental stewardship in the next generation begins with understanding, utilizing, and advocating for the resources available within their communities. Through hands-on learning and community engagement, we inspire young minds to understand and enjoy their urban environments while learning how to improve it for the better.
ACTIVITIES
Education
We provide classes at libraries and schools throughout
the South Bay to get students engaged with their local
communities and environments.
Summer Camp
We take kids grades 5 thru 8 to explore the Bay Area by foot and transit, teaching them to navigate their own ways through cities and breaking down the basics of using public transit. We’ll be visiting a diverse array of sites like museums, parks, and even an arcade.
Advocacy
Taking what we’ve learned from this camp, we’ll bring our findings to and work with local government
recommend service improvements.
